Sonic Hours today — and all three Storm Scout Sprites

Two Sonic Hours Power Hour sessions run today, August 29, and both of them are when the new Storm Scout Sprites get hacked into the game. Boosted spawns for Sonic, Tails and Shadow, better Mythic odds, and four total hours to hunt.

When the Power Hours run

Session 1 — 11:00 AM–1:00 PM PT / 2:00 PM–4:00 PM ET

Session 2 — 6:00 PM–8:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM–11:00 PM ET

Everywhere else, in local time:

  • UK (BST) — 7:00–9:00 PM Aug 29, then 2:00–4:00 AM Aug 30
  • Europe (CEST) — 8:00–10:00 PM Aug 29, then 3:00–5:00 AM Aug 30
  • Brazil (BRT) — 3:00–5:00 PM Aug 29, then 10:00 PM–12:00 AM Aug 29–30
  • Japan / South Korea — 3:00–5:00 AM and 10:00 AM–12:00 PM on Aug 30
  • Australia (AEST) — 4:00–6:00 AM and 11:00 AM–1:00 PM on Aug 30
  • New Zealand (NZST) — 6:00–8:00 AM and 1:00–3:00 PM on Aug 30

You don't need to play both. Playing both just doubles your chances at the rarer variants.

What's boosted

  • Sonic, Tails and Shadow Sprites appear more often.
  • Mythic Sonic Power Sneakers have an increased chance of dropping from Chests.
  • 1-Up Tokens may appear inside Chests.
  • Portable Extractors may drop from Chests.
  • The three new Storm Scout Sprites make their in-game debut.

Every one of those bonuses is live only inside the two windows.

The three new Storm Scout Sprites

Storm Scout turned up in the datamines a while back. Today it goes live, and all three variants are already in the catalog:

  • Storm Scout — Basic, Rare. Gain Overdrive after taking storm damage. At max Level, reveals future Storm Circles.
  • Gold Storm Scout — Gold, Special. Same effect, plus 3x bonus XP from eliminations.
  • Cheat Master Storm Scout — Cheat Master, Special. Same effect, plus activates Cheat Code Injectors with any button inputs.

All three are Chapter 7 Season 4: Override Sprites. The Gold and Cheat Master versions are the ones worth pushing for across both sessions.

Tracking and trading them

Mark each one Missing, Collected, or Mastered from the website or with slash commands in Discord. Anything you own can be offered in a trade with members of a Discord server you share.

Good luck out there, and update your Sprite Tracker once you've secured your new additions.
