Cheat Master Hours today — two windows, boosted Cheat Master spawns

Two Cheat Master Hours sessions run today, September 5, and both of them boost how often Cheat Master Sprites turn up across the island. Four hours total, plus a free loadout on every drop and two extras that only appear in Chests while the windows are open.

When the Power Hours run

Session 1 — 11:00 AM–1:00 PM PT / 2:00 PM–4:00 PM ET

Session 2 — 6:00 PM–8:00 PM PT / 9:00 PM–11:00 PM ET

Everywhere else, in local time:

  • UK (BST) — 7:00–9:00 PM Sept 5, then 2:00–4:00 AM Sept 6
  • Europe (CEST) — 8:00–10:00 PM Sept 5, then 3:00–5:00 AM Sept 6
  • Brazil (BRT) — 3:00–5:00 PM Sept 5, then 10:00 PM–12:00 AM Sept 5–6
  • Japan / South Korea — 3:00–5:00 AM and 10:00 AM–12:00 PM on Sept 6
  • Australia (AEST) — 4:00–6:00 AM and 11:00 AM–1:00 PM on Sept 6
  • New Zealand (NZST) — 6:00–8:00 AM and 1:00–3:00 PM on Sept 6

Each session lasts two hours. You don't need to play both — playing both just doubles your chances at the variants that hardly ever show up.

What's boosted

  • Every Cheat Master variant appears more often across the map.
  • Everyone drops in with one Golden Apple, two Jellyfish and three Peppers.
  • 1-Up Tokens may drop from Chests.
  • Portable Extractors may drop from Chests.

Every one of those is live only inside the two windows.

The Portable Extractors are the ones to grab first. They let you bank a Sprite without hiking to a fixed extraction point, which is the difference between keeping a Cheat Master pull and handing it to whoever third-parties you on the way. Pick them up early and hold one.

What to chase

Cheat Master is an Override variant tier — the effect is always the same, "activates Cheat Code Injectors with any button inputs," on top of whatever the base Sprite already does. The boost covers the whole line rather than a handful of featured Sprites, so the sensible play is to prioritise the ones you're still missing.

The four from the August 27 drop remain the hardest to land: Cheat Master Klombo, Shadow, Jackrabbit and Killswitch. Right behind them are the three newest, added in the v42.10 update on September 3: Cheat Master X-Ray, Onigiri and Overshield, all Special rarity.

If you're farming rather than hunting a specific pull, Heatwave Harbor has the densest concentration of Cheat Codes on the map.

Tracking and trading them

Mark each one Missing, Collected, or Mastered from the website or with slash commands in Discord. Anything you own can be offered in a trade with members of a Discord server you share — and if you come out of today holding a duplicate Cheat Master, that is exactly what the wanted ads are for.
